Winter is typically the "busy" season for restoration companies. There is just a higher propensity of disasters leading to insurance claims.  Over-worked furnaces that cause puff backs, frozen pipes that burst, extreme extended cold spells cause ice damns. Thankfully these common disasters are covered losses which your insurance company recognizes. (on a side note winter is also a great time to review your policy to ensure that you maintain the proper amount of coverage)
